  Beneath harsh emery claws--

  Star-ruby-brown,
  Radiating angles from its core
  Where flight embeds,
  Fractures,
  Re-
	   flects
  In metaphors that
  Form then shift and then

  Transform--
  Next time it might grasp
  Green seafoam
  Froth
  Or plum-
	   met
  On the weight of
  Liquid light
