and wily Loki
talked the big O
into leaving his ravens behind,

so God's shoulders
were truly unburdened
for a short while.

Huginn and Muninn--
Thought and Memory--

ordered to report to Janus,

asif!

Trickster Loki 
laughs all the way home,

picturing two-faced Janus

listening to nightly reports
from clavicle-clinging ravens,

coarse black feathers up both noses at once.
