TCG's MIDI--All Tunes by Genre

To Table-Index

In retrospect, I've found my original genre designations (e.g., "Uptempo Schmaltz") to be rather generic and ultimately unsatisfactory [year 2000 note: I'm fine-tuning my labelling schema with the latest tunes], so here are all my MIDI files arranged in more specific genre listings (many have been cross-referenced, encompassing as they do more than one "genre"; oh, and the "stars" refer to my 1-5 self-rating system, which, again, tends to give my earlier tunes more credit than they're worth):

* * * "kar": karaoke lyrics included (viewable in MidiGraphy, QuicktimePlayer, etc.)
* * * "GS": Optimized for Sound Canvas (SC-55); instrument mapping, etc., not conducive to a "plain" GM soundcard
* * * "GS+": CC32=>"1" for "forward compatibility" with SC-88, etc. (via SC-55 remap)
* * * "SCUG[#]": also available in the
SCUG (Sound Canvas Users' Group) Archives (# = archive #)
* * * "MP3": available in MP3 format (via WAVmaker) at Tommy's Original MP3 Archive

    -------- "Album/CD" Sequences --------

    :::: I've arranged my first thirty or so files in an imagined "album/CD" order, recording them in this way for family and a few friends (both of 'em!). ::::
